Midi Player
1. Selecting MIDI Output Device
By default Midi2Wav Recorder uses MIDI Mapper -- the device which is specified in your system settings (you can see it by choosing Start / Control Panel / Multimedia / MIDI).
To change MIDI Output device:
- Open menu item Settings / Select Devices and Test Recording.
- Select MIDI Output (Playback) device from the drop-down list.
- Press Select Devices button.
Warning: If you select devices for the first time you need to test the recording capability of your sound card.
2. Opening, Positioning and Playing MIDI
> Opening MIDI File
To open MIDI file you can either:
- Click "open file button" on the MIDI toolbar
- Choose MIDI / Open MIDI.
> Positioning MIDI Playback
You can change a MIDI playback position before starting MIDI playback or while playing MIDI file.
To change MIDI playback position:
- Click the slider on MIDI trackbar and drag. While dragging, the current MIDI position is displayed in Play Position box.
> MIDI Playback
For handling MIDI playback you can use MIDI panel buttons or commands of MIDI menu:
> To start MIDI playback:
- Click Start button on the MIDI panel
- Choose MIDI / Play MIDI.
> To pause the playback:
- Click Pause button on the MIDI panel
- Choose MIDI / Pause MIDI.
> To restart the playback from current position:
- Click Pause button on the MIDI panel
- Choose MIDI / Pause MIDI.
> To stop the playback and return to the beginning:
- Click Stop button on the MIDI panel
- Choose MIDI / Stop MIDI.
> Volume Adjusting
To adjust MIDI playback volume:
- Click and drag the MIDI slider of Built-In Mixer.
Tips: To fine tuning of MIDI playback volume use MIDI Tracks Viewer.
3. Saving MIDI File
To save MIDI file you can either:
- Click on the Save button on the MIDI toolbar
- Choose MIDI / Save MIDI.
The Demo version does not allow saving MIDI files.
