MARNETICS ANNOUNCES THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE FIRST PRODUCT IN ITS NEW PROSPERA PRODUCT LINE

Author by Anonymous

Ra'anana, Israel - Marnetics Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Marnetics Broadband Technologies (AMEX: MXB), has announced today that it has completed the development of it's first version of Prospera MegaLink, the first product of the Company's new Prospera product line. Prospera is based on the Company's innovative and proprietary technology.

The Prospera MegaLink addresses a new market of Network Capacity Enhancement solutions, enabling a larger number of users to share, and simultaneously use, key network resources, especially under heavy traffic conditions. The anticipated market for Prospera MegaLink is primarily Internet-related Service Providers, and medium-to-large enterprises, where users typically experience a considerable slow-down and poor perceived performance level when the network is congested.

The conventional approach of buying more bandwidth is expensive and does not always solve the problem, since bandwidth hungry TCP/IP applications tend to consume all the newly available bandwidth. Marnetics patent-pending technology, is intended to identify in real-time the problems in the inter-relations between the various sessions, and balances the bandwidth consumption between them. The impact is a significant increase in the maximum number of users who can simultaneously use the bottlenecked links,

"Prospera MegaLink is a new type of Network Capacity Enhancement solutions", said Menachem Reinschmidt, Marnetics founder and CEO. "Protecting the users and critical network resources from peak load situations, is crucial for the smooth operation of any network. We are very proud with the technological achievement we gained. Now the big challenge is to bring our messages to our potential customers in the various sectors of the telecom market."

The Prospera MegaLink was field tested in the recent weeks in an operational environment in Barak Communications, a leading Internet Service Provider in Israel. In the light of the good results that were achieved, it was mutually agreed between Barak and Marnetics, to upgrade the tests into a Beta level, where the Prospera MegaLink, will be installed to serve a large group of business ADSL users.

The Company anticipates that the Prospera MegaLink will be commercialized during the first half of the year 2002. The company also anticipates that the new Prospera product line will start generating revenues during the 4th quarter of the year 2002.
